A letter to Facebook and a broom for the Dodgers

So I've been sending emails to Facebook with the hopes of getting my facebook account back... so far is not working! On the brighter side of things, the Mets have swept the LA Dodgers on the double header today. First time since 1971 ...that's good stuff. Everything seems to be good in the Met Universe...Wright has started to hit, Bay is hitting, Reyes is his old self ...Now, if I can just get my Facebook account back I would be all set.

Facebook ____, Zynga ____.... hmm the Mets are winning.

It has been just about a year since a friend of mine got me hooked in to facebook, what's worse, he got me hooked to MafiaWars.. great game with awful developers and programmers. Ever since I got hooked on the game I made a promise to myself that I would not watch another game until the Mets started to win.. of course my rants and raves did not last long..I still followed with one eye closed.

If there's one thing I've learned is that turning your back on your team is a bad omen. Don't get me wrong, I made some very good friends in facebook but after spending a couple of thousand dollars on the game and getting harassed by facebook's ass-backwards TOS and getting my account disabled... it has come to this. I'm back to follow my team full time. Back to writing on my tiny little, decrepit blog.. back to buying baseball cards... -I wonder if I can get a nice Ike Davis rookie card ?- And YES! It's good to be back.. it's good to see CitiField's crispy green field.. it's nice to hear fatso on the radio kill the Mets... it's great getting those gut wrenching feelings.. "will they win the game today" ? Ahhh yes, just like good old times.

Now, if you excuse me, I have to check out that Ike Davis baseball card.

The feeling is mutual

After listening to Fatso and the Dog for many years I constatly wished that they would just go away. I got half of the wish sometime ago when the odd looking dog left for satellite radio. If only the other half of the wish would just come true.

I really do not understand what the NY METS were thinking when they renewed the contract with the FAN.. I mean, the abuse they constantly take from Mike Francesa is just unreal..... He's always right, he knows the law, he has friends all over, he's a Yankee spokesman, shits on the Mets every chance he gets, the fans are imbecils, he does no wrong...

Sometimes I wish I could just slap the shit out of this guy. The "almighty" Mike Francesa... I hope you don't drop from a heart attack, Jabba. That would be, how do you say, dissapointing!

It's the little things...

Joe Benigno is the funniest, painfully looking man on TV... I just crak up every time he whines about the Mets or the Jets.. it's freaking awesome. Ohhh the Painnn...

Healthy and Happy... can't ask for more.

Every so often I have to remind myself that being healthy in company of my family is the most important thing I can ever ask. That and of course a job to feed my family. Christmas is here and while some of us are caught up in the present shopping frenzy we must not forget why we celebrate this day. The birth of baby Jesus. It's definately the most amazin' of all holidays.

My boss sent an email out today wishing us a happy holiday. In it, he points out to keep "things in prespective." That nothing is as big as it seems. Simply give 100% and things work out at the end. I liked that message. I try to remind myself of that everyday. It makes life a lot easier and enjoyable.

Merry Christmas!

Good things come to those who choke..

That's right, dammit. We have a genius for a GM in Omar Minaya. He has gotten us K-Rod and Now JJ Putz.. what? Are you freaking kiddin' me? This is fucking awesome. I was actually flopping my arms of sheer happines in the car this morning when I heard the news.

Good riddance Heilman... sad to see Joe Smith and Endy go ..wait.. the sadness is over. ***heavenly music playing in background*** Rejoice fellow Met fans, rejoice. And now? Oh yeah Mr. World Champion Hamels says Mets are chokers. My response? We'll see in '09 Mr. Hamels.

I love you Oma'..you are the fucking bomb!!!!!!

A letter to Satan Claus

Dear Satan Claus – Devourer of Children’s Souls,

This year, I have been a very Ritalin-addled met fan. I have not embezzeled, and I have always helped my coworker’s “special friend” with their pyramid schemes. And I always say thank you, which makes me seem like I care, and so I deserve lots of ass kicking free agents this year!

Please bring all this stuff for me and the people in my life: For Omar Minaya, please bring Valium. For Jerry Manuel, please bring a new bullpen. For my big brother, please bring methodone. For my doggy, please bring non-surgical sterilization. Oh – and for my mailman, please bring some fruit cake.

Now about me! Please bring me all of the Anna Nicole Smith videos, and front row tickets to Britney Spears – plus backstage passes so I can get airborne Chlamydia! Oh, and please don’t forget to bring my pony. But if you can’t, just remember that more than anything Santa, what I really really DONT want is Luis Castillo at second base!

Anyway, I hope you like the cognac I left out for you.

Sincerely,

upstatemetfan

PS: Please say Merry Christmas to Ralph, the heartless Elfin slavemaster.

PPS: Oh yeah, and remember Luis Castillo and Aaron Heilman? They has been really naughty weeners all year long and dont deserve any Christmas presents. So please don’t forget to put dog shit in their stocking. Thanks!

sick in the head

I don't know what's going on with me... I haven't watched a Knicks game or highlights to say the least, in about 9 yrs. I don't know if it's the flu affecting my head or, do I dare say it, the phillies winning the whole enchilada...I gotta be sick in the head but I have a lil, tiny, bit of interest in the NY KNICKS!

mythbusters after baseball

So instead of watching game one of the WS my wife and I were watching mythbusters tonight, the drunken (alcohol myths)episode. It was probably the funniest thing I have seen on TV. Seeing Adam, drunk, on the treadmill and then falling on his face was just plain funny. Or Adam getting slapped by Jamie trying to sober him up.... it was so funny I almost pee my pants. Go Rays!

in a balanced world...

My father always preached to have "balance in life". Yes it kinda sucks that the Phillies are going to the world series.. on the other hand Joba's been arrested. I don't know about you but this is balance to me... of course all that needs to happen is the Braves getting Peavy, the Yanks get CC and AJ and Teixera and we are back in an unbalance world. But seriously, as soon as I saw the headline about Joba getting arrested, I had a big smile on my face. It made my morning.

Batting Stances

hilarious!

It's not the Politicians.. it's the hate mongers, stupid.

Recent quotes from Republicans:

* "I don't trust Obama. I have read about him and he's an Arab."

* "I'm scared of an Obama presidency."

* "When you have an Obama, [House Speaker Nancy] Pelosi and the rest of the hooligans up there going to run this country, we have got to have our head examined. It's time that you two are representing us, and we are mad. So, go get them,"

* "And we're all wondering why that Obama is where he's at, how he got here. I mean, everybody in this room is stunned that we're in this position"

*"I'm mad. I'm really mad. And what's going to surprise you, it's not the economy. It's the socialists taking over our country"

It's one thing to play dirty during an election. But, what the fuck is this crap? Now, I know we've seen some hate mongering.. Farrakhan, Minister Wright and so on... but the statements above are from your everyday American people. What does that say about our state of mind as a country. We are fucked up indeed.

This is some scary shit, man. McCain and Palin have ignited something they might regret. This could lead to an assassination attempt on Obama, and Palin should take the fault for it. Regardless of who wins the election, this is the scariest thing I've seen on TV. Pure American Hate. Bad move of McCain to chose Palin as a running mate, her, along with the economy and hate mongering might just bring them down. And it's too bad to. I'm a democrat and I always wanted to see McCain, the American Hero, run for president. But once he chose Palin, it didn't feel right. Now I know why.

For the sake of America, I hope the right man wins the election and takes us out of this funk we are in.

Hopin' and Prayin'

I pray to the baseball deities for Minaya to trade Heilman and Delgado.

A message..

I have a message for all those fucking idiots on the media, including Fatso Francesa.

David and Jose are not going anywhere! G.O. T.O. H.E.L.L.

Memo to fucking idiots wanting to trade David and Jose.

If the bullpen didn't blow so many games the Mets would be in. So, again, G.O. T.O. H.E.L.L

RIP Shea and 2008 Season

Before the Mets fired Willie they were DONE. The fact that Jerry brought them all the way to the last day, it's truly amazing. Considering the many injuries and the mess of a bullpen, Jerry did a very good job and should be back. It proves, one more time, that pitching wins games.

Saying goodbye Shea eased the pain of defeat. I mean, seeing all these great Mets back a Shea was just awesome. I mean Doctor K and Willie Mays and Mike Piazza? Seaver throwing to Piazza... WOW Very nice!

I'm so freakin' excited about CitiField!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Wilpons need to make D Wright the captain in 2009 and retire 31 and 17 and change the loser culture by getting rid of Delgado.

Who should not be at CitiField next year:

Schoneweis (blows)

Castillo (can't hit can't run)

Delgado (Nice Sept run but it's over)

Heilman (trade him to the AL)

Perez (wacko)

Pedro Martinez (done)

O. Hernandez

M. Alou

Pedro Feliciano

and some questions for next year's team:

The rotation:

Santana (stud)
Maine (no hitter)
Pelfrey (no hitter)
Niese
______ ?

Bullpen:

Joe Smith
Bobby Parnell
B. Stokes
Ayala
Wise
_____ ?

Closer:

_____ ? F. Rodriguez?

Position players:

SS Reyes
3B David
1B ____ ? Murphy? Carp?
2B Murphy
LF ____ ? F. Martinez!!!
RF Church
CF Beltran

Bench:

A. Reyes
D. Easley
F. Tatis
A. Pagan
