It's not the Politicians.. it's the hate mongers, stupid.

Recent quotes from Republicans:

* "I don't trust Obama. I have read about him and he's an Arab."

* "I'm scared of an Obama presidency."

* "When you have an Obama, [House Speaker Nancy] Pelosi and the rest of the hooligans up there going to run this country, we have got to have our head examined. It's time that you two are representing us, and we are mad. So, go get them,"

* "And we're all wondering why that Obama is where he's at, how he got here. I mean, everybody in this room is stunned that we're in this position"

*"I'm mad. I'm really mad. And what's going to surprise you, it's not the economy. It's the socialists taking over our country"

It's one thing to play dirty during an election. But, what the fuck is this crap? Now, I know we've seen some hate mongering.. Farrakhan, Minister Wright and so on... but the statements above are from your everyday American people. What does that say about our state of mind as a country. We are fucked up indeed.

This is some scary shit, man. McCain and Palin have ignited something they might regret. This could lead to an assassination attempt on Obama, and Palin should take the fault for it. Regardless of who wins the election, this is the scariest thing I've seen on TV. Pure American Hate. Bad move of McCain to chose Palin as a running mate, her, along with the economy and hate mongering might just bring them down. And it's too bad to. I'm a democrat and I always wanted to see McCain, the American Hero, run for president. But once he chose Palin, it didn't feel right. Now I know why.

For the sake of America, I hope the right man wins the election and takes us out of this funk we are in.
