A message..

I have a message for all those fucking idiots on the media, including Fatso Francesa.

David and Jose are not going anywhere! G.O. T.O. H.E.L.L.

Memo to fucking idiots wanting to trade David and Jose.

If the bullpen didn't blow so many games the Mets would be in. So, again, G.O. T.O. H.E.L.L

RIP Shea and 2008 Season

Before the Mets fired Willie they were DONE. The fact that Jerry brought them all the way to the last day, it's truly amazing. Considering the many injuries and the mess of a bullpen, Jerry did a very good job and should be back. It proves, one more time, that pitching wins games.

Saying goodbye Shea eased the pain of defeat. I mean, seeing all these great Mets back a Shea was just awesome. I mean Doctor K and Willie Mays and Mike Piazza? Seaver throwing to Piazza... WOW Very nice!

I'm so freakin' excited about CitiField!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Wilpons need to make D Wright the captain in 2009 and retire 31 and 17 and change the loser culture by getting rid of Delgado.

Who should not be at CitiField next year:

Schoneweis (blows)

Castillo (can't hit can't run)

Delgado (Nice Sept run but it's over)

Heilman (trade him to the AL)

Perez (wacko)

Pedro Martinez (done)

O. Hernandez

M. Alou

Pedro Feliciano

and some questions for next year's team:

The rotation:

Santana (stud)
Maine (no hitter)
Pelfrey (no hitter)
Niese
______ ?

Bullpen:

Joe Smith
Bobby Parnell
B. Stokes
Ayala
Wise
_____ ?
_____ ?

Closer:

_____ ? F. Rodriguez?

Position players:

SS Reyes
3B David
1B ____ ? Murphy? Carp?
2B Murphy
LF ____ ? F. Martinez!!!
RF Church
CF Beltran

Bench:

E. Chavez
A. Reyes
D. Easley
F. Tatis
A. Pagan
_____ ?

Closers available via free agent market:

Johan

I watched the game today. I watched that man dominate and carry the New York Mets on his back. I watched because I'm a fan, negative, paranoid and realistic but I'm a fan. I watched because I knew Johan was pitching. I watched because I believed and I at the end a tear, yes, a tear rolled down my face.

I don't care what happens tomorrow, the man is on our team and he will be on our team for many years. That right there, puts a smile on my face.. gives me confidence about our team's future.
Go Mets!!!!!!!!

Vomit..

I seriously have to think about rooting for another sport other than baseball... you know, to ease the pain a little bit. Should I root for the knicks? Porn? Giants? Red Bulls? isn't that a drink? Ahhhh the freaking pain.. can't take this shit anymore. Somebody slay the Mets already... these few games are going to feel like going through my first breakup... nauseous, pain on my gut and sleepless. Sucks all around! They better fucking win this game tonite.. Phillies are losing and Brewers just tied up the game 1-1.

Dude!

Thomas John "Dude" Esterbrook (June 20, 1857April 30, 1901) was an American Major League Baseball player from Staten Island, New York who played the majority of his games at third base, but did play many games at first base. Esterbrook played for seven different teams during his 11 year career, and had his biggest success in 1884, while playing for the New York Metropolitans, when he batted .314, and was amongst the leaders in many other batting categories.[1]
In 1889, Esterbrook was named the manager, or "Captain" as it was known then, of the Louisville Colonels. After only ten games, and only two wins, the team owner determined that due to the teams's record and his manager's confrontational behavior, Dude was fired and replaced by Jimmy Wolf.[2]
Dude died at the age of 43 when he lept from a train, in Middletown, New York, that was transporting him to a mental hospital.[3] He is buried at Green-Wood Cemetery in Brooklyn, New York.[4]

MTHERFCKINGBULLPEN

Brewers suck!

Bullpen sucks!

What the F.....!

One last stroll...

I spent 2 hours this morning trying to find someone to go with me to the game. I would of loved to take my wife but we didn't have a babysitter so she gladly kick me out of the house to see old Shea one last time.

I started calling and texting about 10 friends but they were all working or doing something else today. Finally a buddy came through and we took off for single admission doubleheader. It was so nice to get that first beer in after a long ass ride from the Catskills.

By the end of the second game I was shocked that so many people had left... very dissapointing. I mean, I know the bullpen fucked up the first game but come on... this is Shea's last few games.. where the hell are you people going to? Jose Reyes Home Run

Anyway.. I was happy to see Santana and Jon Niese tonite. The bullpen lost another one to Santana. I really hope Minaya does something spectacular to fix our bullpen next year and I hope to see more of Jon Niese. He was very good.

I took my last stroll at Shea. Shea wasn't the best fan friedly stadium but I will miss it. Good bye old friend!

But... I'm so looking forward to CitiField :-)

Hot Stuff

....and we are back with Chef Munoz. :-)
My uncle gave me some beautiful, bright, fresh hot cherry peppers from his garden. My first thought was ceviche which I had made before and posted some pictures of it. However, cherry peppers are also good with cheese and cured meats so I decided make Stuffed Hot Cherry Peppers.

Ingridients:
Prosciutto thinly sliced

Provolone cut in 1/4 in cubes (depending on size of peppers)

Hard Salami or other type sausage thinly sliced

Sweet or Hot Cherry Peppers
Olive Oil

White Vinegar

Preparation:
Clean the inside of the peppers. Make sure you get all the veins out including the seeds. Wash the peppers and DO NOT TOUCH your face, eyes, etc...
Then place a cude of provolone on a slice of Salami or Prosciutto and stuff the pepper. Once you have enough, pour white vinegar, oil and any other fresh herbs in a pickle jar and you can start filling the jar with your stuffed peppers.

Pickle time anywhere from 2-3 wks.

Enjoy!

The Mets Room

For some time now I've been nagging my wife about the basement and turning it into "The Mets Room". Well, That never panned out so instead I got my daughters old room and it's just as good if not better. Now, I must tell you the while you'll see the royal blue all over I'm yet to splash some orange paint... but until then I present to you, The Mets Room.

My Pride and joy... my favorite baseball cards

By the way... at this point we are pretty optimistic about the Mets making the playoffs right? Okay.. we agree there. One thing though. I dont want to see fucking Aaron Heilman in the playoff roster.

Del-Bomb

So right after I watched Delgado 2 run HR BOMB off Lannan I had a big smile on my face and said to my self; self.. you were so fucking wrong for shitting on Delgado earlier this year. You owe the man an apology. Then I searched my blog on google and I found this:

MetsBlog.com » postGame: Cubs 8 Mets 1
Comment by upstatemetfan. 2008-04-22 18:22:38. There’s no doubt the lifeless Delgado is done.

Okay. I'm sorry. I suck you are the biggest clutch hitter I've seen. You did it during the playoffs in 06 and you are doing it now. I'm sorry.
BWT Delgado comes off the ZEROS list. I never thought I would do that!

Mets v Phillies ...Santana is the man.

So after whining about ESPN and MLB changing the starting time for the Sept 7th 1:10 pm start.... it really didn't matter that much after all. We drove to NYC via Palisades Parkway and then took the # 7 train to the game. It was great ...my daughter was amazed with all the buildings, trains and the musicians in the train. We got there a little early.. well, more like 3 hours early... but we got to walk around a bit and then got in the stadium around 6:30pm. It was worth seeing my daughter Gabriela's joy. She loved seeing Mr. Met, Reyes and Wright and of course, she was thrilled with her Johan Santana Bobblehead Doll. It was an awesome evening alltogether.
